Ok I am not even sure you can call this a recipe. Frito Pie is one of those fabulous meals that you just assemble and dinner is on the table in no time flat.
This was something that my mom made a couple of times per month when I was little. It’s cheap and easy and you don’t even have to turn on the stove if you don’t want to! The only cooking required is to heat up a can of chili and then start building your dish.
If you have ever been to a street fair or even a concert, this is basically the same thing. At the fair, they will just pour the chili in those single serve Fritos bags and sprinkle on the toppings. At home you can just pile everything on a plate and dig in.
This is a great dish for those weeks when your budget AND time are tight. You can whip this one up for next to nothing.

- Fritos Corn Chips
- can of chili without beans
- cheese, shredded
- lettuce, chopped
- tomatoes, chopped
- onion, chopped
- guacamole
- sour cream
- Heat the chili then pour over a pile of Fritos corn chips.
- Top with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and any other toppings you might like.
