How many loads of laundry do you guys do each week? I feel like I do laundry constantly. Last week, I made myself keep track and was surprised to find that I washed 6 loads of laundry. That’s almost a load per day. That just seems crazy for a family of four.
What’s funny is that I pretty much wash the same things over and over. I have a huge closet full of clothes and probably only wear a small fraction of those clothes week to week. I have my favorite outfits that I wear while I am at home, and then a few that wear when I’m out and about. My husband does the exact same thing. I hang the same shirts and same pants week after week.
Now it might seem boring, but I bet many of you do the same thing. When you find clothes that look and fit great, you want to wear them. Unfortunately, wearing clothing frequently means they get washed just as often. Many detergents are too harsh and can leave clothes looking faded and old. That’s the last thing we want for our favorite items.
Unlike some detergents, Woolite Everyday doesn’t contain harsh ingredients like enzymes. It has a special formula that helps protect the clothes you love from fading, shrinking and stretching – so clothes look like new even after 20 washes. Woolite cleans and cares for all fabrics by maintaining fabric shape and keeping colors looking bright. It’s the easiest way to keep all your favorite clothes looking their best. I can happily continue to wear my favorite clothing, knowing that Woolite will keep it looking great through all those washes.
To keep my favorite dark clothing (and my favorite pair of jeans) from fading, I keep Woolite Darks on hand. What a great formula! Wash after wash, the original color intensity of my dark clothes remain like the day I bought them. I don’t know about you guys, but finding those perfect jeans can be so difficult…the last thing I want is for them to fade quickly! A little Woolite Darks to keep them looking great is well worth the effort.
Woolite is my laundry’s best friend AND my way to keep my budget in check. Woolite helps me keep my favorite clothes looking great so that they last much longer. In turn, I spend less money buying clothing.
How many loads of laundry do you guys do each week? Also, if any of you guys have tips on how to make the folding and putting away a bit easier…I’m all ears!
I normally was anywhere from 16-20 loads a week. Sometimes more/less depending on the week. I have found that if I have my hangers in the utility room when I start, I can go ahead and hang them up. If I fold and put on the bed I notice that I procrastinate in hanging them up. I also make piles of everyone’s clothes and when they get home from school/work, all they have to do is hang them up and put them in the drawers. If I leave it for my family to hang up their clothes, it will never get done.
My husband once commented on how many loads of laundry there were and I reminded him that the 5 of us wear a loads worth of laundry every day!
I have started having my kids help fold and put away their clothes – my 7-year-old is a great folder, but the boys (17 and 4) are not so good 😉 They can all put their clothes away and they actually enjoy being useful – I think it helps them learn responsibility and feel valuable. But don’t tell them 😉
im sorry i disagree about woolite – NOTHING will stop clothes fading less wear/ wash….thanks
ps is this a plug or your own submission?
About 12 loads a week. 7 of us, 3 are teenagers!
