I have multiple laundry baskets. Makes sorting, folding, and putting away easier.
Laundry day is easier when I play music and make folding laundry fun by using the hamper as a goal and socks as basketballs.

all you need to do is give your husband the mrs. Meyer’s and walk out the door for a nice afternoon alone. I can’t think of a better way to make laundry day easier!

Laundry is more fun when you have great tunes and the kiddos help!
I stain treat our clothes as soon as we take them off and sort them into 1 of 3 hampers. On laundry day, all I have to do is wash, dry, fold, and hang
i have 3 separate baskets for towels, lights and darks so my laundry is already sorted before i start
I taught my 12 year old to do his own laundry, so that’s one less load for me!

I wish there were secrets to easy laundry…lol. It seems like the song that never ends at my house. I just try to do a load daily to stay caught up.
Sunday Funday is what I call laundry day ha ha. Now to make it a little easier I wash all of it but my hubby folds and my kiddies put it all away. It’s always fun to find my things in my husband’s drawers and vice-versa. BTW….My house is full of Mrs. Meyer’s!! I use it in the kitchen, bathroom and laundry, love love love it especially the Geranium scent.

I have the kiddos sort their clothes, and check all pockets. They also put away their own clothes (I fold for the youngest). Really helps cut down on my laundry time!
laundry day is easy when my husband help….
I do laundry every 2 weeks. I do 5 very large loads…whites, dark, pastels, med colored and towels. I include sheets with the whites or pastels. We wash, dry and put away all within 2 days. Will throw in bath rugs/shower curtains with towels every 3 months or so, as an extra load. Works for hubby and I! He helps so washing clothes is not too big of a chore. I have always made sure we have lots of spare socks and underwear in drawers at all time! Ha, ha!
My teenager actually helps doing the laundry. Helps to fold her own clothes and sometimes iron.
When its time to change the sheets on my bed, I put the soiled sheets directly into the washer instead of in the hamper. Makes it easier to wash them immediately rather than waiting and finding out I don’t have any clean sheets to put back on the bed when it is time to change them again.

I know this is crazy but my cat helps me do laundry. Well at least he keeps me entertained. He always likes to chaise after the clothes through the holes in the basket. And he will come running through the house when he hears me open the laundry room door and slide the basket across the floor.

I make laundry day easier by doing a load, every day, same time. This helps keep the chaos to a low roar!!
I like I Heart Publix on Facebook.
I sort it all out on my bathroom floor and keep going load after load until it is all done. It helps having a large front loader that can hold lots of clothes at one time. Having my laundry closet in the master bath is a time saver too. The clean clothes are close to were they need to go to be put away.
I like to do a load a day-much easier to keep up with . While they wash & dry I can do something else.
I recently put a radio in the laundry room so I can at least bob along to some tunes.

I’m actually trying to make my daughters laundry times easier, financially! she’s moving away in August for college. With the help of this site I have been stocking up on bogo’s and deals for her apartment. Her apartment has a washer and dryer so all she needs now is detergent 🙂

I dry shirts and pants for 5 minutes and immediately hang them up and put the hangers on the door frames to let them finish drying overnight. In my last home, I hung them up in my guest room closet to finish drying, leaving a couple of inches between each shirt. They don’t wrinkle that way and it’s more economical than using the dryer.
I don’t have a laundry day. I usually wash a load every other day and that helps me keep up with it. I hang it out to dry in the morning in the summer time and don’t use my dryer.
I have separate baskets for each load so I don’t have to sort the clothes going into the laundry.
With only two of us laundry is not too complex. I usually only have two or three loads a week unless we have house guests. I usually watch TV while folding makes it less of a chore.

Keep up with it so you are not overwhelmed with multiple loads in one day.
Do the heavier and bigger loads first…they take longer to dry!!!
I make sure my laundry is pre-sorted into whites, darks and colors and I have trained my husband to make sure that he empties his pockets before putting the clothes into the hamper, so when I need to put on a load on to wash, I just grab the hamper and go.

To make laundry day a little easier, I always try to pretreat any stains before washing and have all the clothes be sorted out ahead of time, so I can just throw a load in as soon as there is enough in a pile.

Everybody has their own laundry basket so I can wash clothes by each person instead of mixing everybody’s in the same load. It makes it easier to tell which socks go to which person.
For me almost everyday is laundry day. I always try to get the last load out of the dryer. So that the next time it makes it a little bit easier. I love to open the dryer door and see nothing inside. ;)c

There are three people in my household and we each do our own laundry.
I make laundry day easier by not sorting lights/darks/colors (most of the time). I just throw everything in on cold with free and clear detergent and a splash of white vinegar in the rinse cycle. It works beautifully!
I have my husband do the laundry! 🙂
Make it a family affair.
We do a load about 3 times a week (sort in different baskets)
I don’t have an official laundry “day” but do the laundry when we have a full load which is usually every 2-3 days. Luckily, I can do this since my office is in my home!

I am a fan of yours. Thank You.
I taught my boys to do laundry at 9 years old. I was amazed at how they picked it up and it made it real easy on me. I went from washing a load a day (when they were young and I had a sloppy husband) to me only doing a couple of loads for myself about once a week. I have a larger machine so I got work cloths in one and alternated washing towels and sheets. I made sure I had enough to last two weeks. So easy.
I usually do a load of laundry every other day to stay on top of it. On those really hectic weeks when I just can’t stay on top of it I usually end up sorting darks, whites, and towels in laundry baskets. I don’t hate doing laundry but I do hate hanging up clothes. So I play a little game with myself and do all the towels last as my little reward, all I have to do is fold them and put them away, then it’s finally done.
I think that by washing a load a day you can keep everything from piling up. Another thing is to get everyone in the family involved in doing their own laundry.

I think washing and drying socks in a bag has saved me many hours in searching for mates and make laundry day go a bit faster.
We don’t have laundry day, we have non-laundry day. We always have so much laundty, thanks to a 4 yo who keeps us all on our toes, Sunday is the non-laundry day. Except for emergencies (emergency being something so gross it can’t wait until Monday) Sunday is our respite from washing .
One way to make it easier is to maximize down time between washer and dryer by alternating clothing and bedding/bulky loads. It takes so long to dry, that I wash things that could be hung to dry and comforters so the washer doesn’t sit idle.
I usually try to do a load or two a day to keep up. To simplify, I use laundry soap packets and my best tool is the foldable laundry baskets. I can use them and they fold away out of sight.
I have different laundry baskets to sort out the laundry.

I have multiple laundry days, sometimes as many 8 loads in one week depending on the activitiy schedule. My kids 5 & 8 separate and load machines, so I can can handle other tasks.
