My boys would go bananas for the 4th of july cake pops!
My family is a big fan of the chocolate pound cake, top that with a strawberry or raspberry glaze and whipped cream,,,,,,,,,easy, simply and gooooood.
I like to use a star-shape cookie cutter to cut Sara Lee pound cake into stars. Then, I top each star with Cool Whip, strawberries, and blueberries. It’s festive, delicious, and inexpensive.

We love strawberry shortcake!
Because we have a lot of ripe blueberries this time of year, I take a large trifle bowl and layer it with Sara Lee pound cake (cut into cubes), blueberries and whipped cream, making sure to end it with the whipped cream on top with a few blueberries and maybe a few sliced strawberries on top if I have them.
I want to do that Patriotic Cake and Berry platter you mentioned. Of course ANYTHING with Sara Lee Poundcake is wonderful in my book!

I love Sara Lee pound cake for a quick but festive dessert. I cut the cake into cubes and layer the cake with pie filling and Cool-Whip for a fast and beautiful dessert. To make it patriotic, I use blueberries and cherries for the fruit … impressive and oh so easy. : )

This July 4th I will make my warm weather friendly usual…….cut up the pound cake into squares and top with mixed fruite. My favorite are the peaches and blueberry combo. I ALWAYS have frozen Sara Lee pound cake in my freezer. There are so many things u can do with them. Last minute guests….no problem. Pull one out and add a scoop of ice cream and a drizzle of preserves. SOOOOO yummy.

I am making.
My much loved, long time family recipe from when my family farmed in Georgia. After a long hot day picking..my great, great grandma would make a pea picking cake.
I altered her recipe a bit..and use cut up Sara Lee..with the mandarin oranges and cool whip and pudding..so delicious, light, moist and so so so good..it is addicting. I get many requests for this recipe..it is over 100 years old.

I just thaw the pound cake, cut into slices, then drizzle caramel or chocolate syrup over the top. Top with Cool Whip and fresh fruit.
A chocolate trifle using sara lee’s chocolate pound cake in slices at the bottom of a trifle bowl, topped the bottom layer of sliced cake with a double (or triple) chocolate mousse, and top the mousse with mini chocolate chips, I prefer semisweet, and repeat the layering. For the final topping, after the last layering of chocolate chips, add fresh whipped cream and chocolate shavings, again I prefer semisweet chocolate. Add fresh chopped mint as a garnish. Enjoy.

Slice Sara Lee into 1/4 to 1/2 inch slices. Brush both sides with my homemade butter cinnamon sugar. Grill the “toast”. Also Slice and grill water melon, remove take chunked strawberries and herbs and mix. Serve the grilled watermelon/strawberry compote with the cinnamon pound cake bread. So very good. Sometimes I drizzle with honey yogurt sauce. Not much of this though. This is a VERY light, tasty, refreshing dessert option. Also this is great for breakfast too.
