My boys started school at the end of last week. This is only their third day of school so they are really just getting back into the swing of things. They boys like their teachers and are glad to be with all their friends again.
I know some of you still have a few weeks of summer break and you may still be shopping for your school supplies. Don’t forget that you can get some great deals at Publix.

I use ziploc bags for camping. I put flour, sugar, coffee creamer, etc in small ziploc bags and write the contents on the bag. It takes minimum space in the camper and doesn’t leak!
I use ziploc to organize rubber bands, gem clips and other small office supplies as well as use them for freezer cooking.
I use a LOT of Ziploc bags for freezing meats, fruits and vegetables so that I can stock up when they are on sale, and never pay the off-season price!
When I go on walks, I always carry one in my pocket. Just in case it starts raining. In South Florida it happens quite frequently. So it is a must have to protect my phone. Ziplocs are so handy.

Just yesterday, my dad was cutting his property that is adjacent to my house with his tractor. He came inside and wanted something to put his cell phone in, so he wouldn’t sweat all over it. I gave him a Ziploc sandwich bag 🙂

I use Ziploc bags during the summer to freeze all the mangos I get and I get a lot. I use the bags to keep al my nail polish in. I use them for all my crafting, keeping my paints and brushes in. So many, many uses for my Ziploc bags. I can’t begin to name them all.
I use them when we travel. Pack small items in them to keep everything organized. I also measure out dry ingredients for any meals I am going to be preparing as well as bags of laundry detergent.

I use Ziploc for camping trips, I pack my daily clothes in the them and then put the dirty ones back in the bags. Its REALLY great especially when it rains. (which it always does at least one day) It keeps close dry and separated.
They are also great for packing my college student’s stuff. More clothes can be packed by pressing out air to make flat and when your dealing with space constrains its a life saver.. You can also throw a dryer sheet or fabric-softner tablet in there with the clothes and keep them smelling fresh!! LOVE MY ZIPLOCS!!!!!!!

I use Ziploc daily. Its hard to list what all I use them for. Today they were used for my son’s trail mix, grapes, oreo balls, and protein powder in his lunch box.
I use them for portion control. I can portion out snacks to take to work with me or to nibble on while watching TV, that way I won’t eat the whole bag of something, just what is in my Ziploc.

I carry gallon size Ziplock bags in my pocket when I take my dog on a run. When I get to a water fountain on the running trail, I open the bag, fill it halfway with water and put it on the ground in an open position so that my dog can drink. Voila! Portable water bowl. 🙂

I use the Ziploc bags for my sewing items. I use them for thread, elastic, ribbon and I use the gallon size to store my patterns in.
The packs are a perfect size for snacking and not overindulging! They can also keep cut veggies fresh. Everyday I make my dad lunch for work in a container. They even hold pencils!

With the holidays coming up, I send red velvet cakes to family via mail by freezing the layers in bags and I make the icing and press all the air out of a gallon size one. I make a mark in one corner to show where to cut and it actually looks like a piping bag which makes icing easier for non-bakers.

I use them to mix cat food or dog food. Sometimes I need to change their food. You have to gradually change their food so it does not cause them intestinal problems. And once in a while I will find a very high quality food on clearance, so I will mix in 1/4 of this food with their regular food and it does not cause intestinal distress.

Couldn’t really think of an “around the house” use that 100 other people haven’t mentioned, but I do have a different/unique use for them. My boys and I have annual passes to Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure. There are 3 water rides in Islands of Adventure which you get soaked on. All of us put our phones, wallets and park passes in Ziploc bags to keep them dry and Ziploc has NEVER let us down yet!!!

Always take some on a trip, you never know what you need them for. I love Ziplocs. Heading to Publix to get this deal!!!
I love Ziplock! I use both freezer and regular! They are so handy and besides the regular uses, I use them to put treats in, hair bands in and anything else that I need to take when I take my Yorkies out with me! Handy and waterproof!!
Outside of using them for leftovers this weekend I used one as a piping bag to decorate the Fried Chicken Cake I made for my Sons Birthday 🙂 and to frost cup cakes.

One of my cats has diabetes and has a prescription food, plus he’s only allowed a certain amount. I measure out the amount he is allowed for a day and store it in a ziplock bag. The other cats need a different food, so they each have their own ziplock bag as well. No accidental overfeeding!
I use ziplock bags to store my coupons in when I go to the store. One is marked “TODAY” which I pull out and use when checking out and the other is marked “LATER”. I carry the “LATER” in case I see something that is an in-store only mark down and I happen to have a coupon to match that item.
I use zip locks to pre portion snacks for the kids, store my daughters rubber bands, they are great for travel, and I always keep spare outfits in the car in the large zip locks.

I use zip lock bags to keep together Lego sets that my son wants build again before they get mixed into the big Lego bin.
I use Ziploc bags for so many things around my house. Of course, I pack my kid’s lunch with then. I also have several ziploc bags on my back porch right now full of sand and shells from our recent beach trip. I freeze water in them and throw them in the cooler to keep it cold longer. I store buttons and thread and so many other things!
We use Ziploc bags and containers for prepping food (marinating), storing leftovers, freezing meat or fruit when we buy bulk, separating portions of food for lunch and snacks…
We also love using the bags for sorting and storing toys and crafts, like keeping Lego sets together and separating beads from other crafts.

Around the house, I use Ziploc bags to store leftovers, freeze food portions, organize those pesky little BTFEs, and help with meal prep like marinating meat. But I’ve found Ziploc bags are especially helpful for travel; besides using them to store toiletries, organize socks & underwear, and tote snacks, I bring a stash in my suitcase to hold stuff we collect along the way like flyers, receipts…anything!

I love me some Ziploc products. OMG they hold everything from icecream sprinkles in the small ones to bedspreads in the supersized ones. They are great in the daycare for arts and crafts projects too.
I cook vegetables on sale, freeze the excess that I store in ziploc bags. I use ziploc bags to store knitting needles.I use them to store measured portions of almonds.

I use ziploc bags for a lot of things like storing my quilt pieces while working on my tops. Also for storing my patterns so they don’t get worn. I also use them for more normal things like storing my fruits after I wash them. I am always reaching for a ziploc to store something in.
