I have been sharing easy recipes to help you put your Jimmy Dean fully cooked sausage to use. I bet I am not the only one who has stocked up! Today is the last day to use that Family Celebrations coupon so I thought that I’d share one more recipe that would be a good one to whip up for the games this weekend – Buffalo Sausage Cheese Dip!
I love all things made with hot sauce. This recipe is a good one because you get that great taste plus it takes no time to prepare. It’s a great game day snack and is not as messy as traditional buffalo wings! You won’t have to put out rolls of napkins for all your guests!
Grab a few ingredients and have this one on the table in a flash. You might want to get enough to make two batches…this stuff goes fast!
- 1 pkg. Jimmy Dean® Turkey Sausage Crumbles
- 1 pkg. (8 ounces) cream cheese, cubed, softened
- ½ cup sour cream
- ¼ cup Louisiana brand hot sauce
- 2 tablespoons chopped celery
- ½ cup (2 ounces) blue cheese crumbles
- Baked pita chips or celery sticks for dipping
- Heat and stir sausage crumbles in a large skillet over medium heat for 4-5 minutes or until hot. Add cream cheese, sour cream and hot sauce.
- Cook and stir until cream cheese is melted and sauce is smooth. Stir in blue cheese and celery; heat 2 minutes or until cheese is melted. Spoon into serving dish or chafing dish.
- Serve with chips and celery sticks.
