Chicken is a staple in most of our diets. It’s on my table at least 2 or 3 times per week. If you’re looking to eat better without compromising flavor, Tyson’s got your mealtime covered. They have brand new and improved offerings that start with real, simple 100% all natural ingredients.
Choose from chicken with Italian seasonings like basil and oregano. Whole ancient grains like quinoa and amaranth. There are even 100% Gluten Free varieties that allow you to avoid gluten, without avoiding taste.
We’ve tried several of the varieties and really like them. This is the kind of chicken that the boys and I can agree on. I like them for what’s NOT in them (no added hormones or steroids) and the boys like the taste! Plus my guys are not big fans of heavy over-breaded chicken so these are perfect. You get great taste that doesn’t have to hide under a bunch of preservatives!
It’s a great time to try them with the big coupon that we got in this past weekend’s inserts! You can pick up a great deal at Publix! Be sure to grab your coupons and grab your favorite varieties!

I really enjoy the Better for you varieties from Tyson. I have tried the Whole Grain and the lightly breaded. The Whole Grains make me feel better about consuming the breaded Chicken because I am a diabetic and Carbs really spike my blood sugars, I always try to choose a whole grain option. The Lightly Breaded helps me to consume less carbs but still get the same crisp and satisfaction from a crispy chicken dish. I especially enjoy the Lightly breaded in past dishes like Chicken Parm! They save me time and make me feel better about consuming a product that is pre packaged and delicious!

Tasty Gluten free chicken that easy to prepare. Tuesday nights are busy in my house, So I stopped by the store to grab frozen pizzas but saw the item section. I was able to prepare dinner for my entire family which includes 2 food allergies. Thanks for fast meal.
chopped over salad
I had a bag of Tyson multi-grain breast fillets sitting in the freezer for over a week. This give away gave me incentive to finally cook it. I cooked it in the oven because the Microwave simply doesn’t provide the crispiness everyone expects from breaded chicken. My brother, whom is 17 and lives with me, consumes a bag of standard Tyson chicken nuggets about once a week. I am not a fan of the standard Tyson chicken nuggets, so I included him in this taste test to get an unbiased perspective on the difference.
I will start with my opinion. The breading was very crispy, and I thoroughly enjoyed the flavor of multi grain over traditional breading. However; the chicken itself did not taste superior to the traditional Tyson chicken I remember. I decided to compare the nutrition facts with standard Tyson nuggets, and I was disappointed to see a nearly identical amount of saturated fat and sodium. Any product claiming to be better for you should have a noticeable difference in sodium and fats in my opinion. The breading saved this product for me, and I would give it a solid 8/10.
My brother did not enjoy the breading. He adamantly stated the standard breading is superior, and would rather suffer the nutritional loss for something more palatable. We obviously disagree on this subject. However; he did agree that the chicken quality was no different than what he is accustomed to. We also both agreed that the better for you claim must solely be based on the breading. He rated it a 5/10.
This product won’t appeal to the younger generation that is less conscious about nutritional value. I think that is obvious though. I typically detest frozen meals, so an 8/10 rating is saying a-lot coming from me. I would be very tempted to try other better for you products in the future if they are on sale. I probably would not buy it without a sale price; however.
This is completely irrelevant, but I would also like to state how much I appreciate IHeartPublix. I was using several other coupon matchup sites before, but this one is easily the best for Publix. Most don’t even cover unadvertised deals. I have saved a ton of money utilizing this website. I have never commented on this site before, so I just wanted to take the opportunity to express my appreciation for the work the IHeartPublix team puts in.
The lightly breaded chicken is great chopped and placed on a salad!
I eat these with honey mustard sauce. They are a good size so one or two per serving is enough for me.
I like the Tyson lightly breaded chicken strips to make a lighter versionj of Chicken Parmesan.
If we’re having some sort of pre-made chicken then that is the wholerecipe when dipped into some mustard or blue cheese dressing.
I haven’t tried this Tyson product but I like the multi-grain option sounds nutrious and appealing.
I was complaining one day to my niece that I hadn’t found any good frozen chicken strips that tasted good. The next time I saw her, she was cooking the lightly-breaded Tyson chicken strips for her kids and she told me to try one. I tasted it and couldn’t believe how much better it was than I had imagined. I thought it would have a bland taste and a rubbery texture to it like all the other kinds I’ve tried before, but it was actually tender and flavorful. I still haven’t bought any myself yet, but I definitely want to buy that kind the next time I’m craving chicken strips.
I haven’t tried the new Tyson products yet but the Italian Style Lightly Breaded Chicken Strips sound tasty. I would serve them as chicken fingers or as the protein in a green salad.
Any of them dipped in ranch dressing is great.
I’ve been taking the Italian ones in my lunch wraps…with lettuce, bell pepper strips and a bit of ranch…YUM!
