The holidays usually mean lots of guests. All those extra mouths to feed mean you need to keep a lot more food on hand than usual!
Now my fridge is usually quite full on a typical week so trying to fit everything in during the holidays can be next to impossible. Since there is no way I can add another refrigerator to my kitchen, I improvise! Did you know that coolers are a great alternative when you need some extra room?
I’ll usually have a couple of coolers filled to the brim to make room in my fridge for all the holiday goodies. Condiments and jars that I won’t use, go in a cooler that gets stored in the garage. I also fill another cooler with beverages so that folks aren’t having to rummage through a stuffed fridge to find a drink!
This is a very economical option and makes things much easier when it’s time to cook on Thanksgiving Day!
Of course you will want to make sure those coolers are squeaky clean before you fill them. At my house there’s no telling what might have been in any of the coolers that I find. So be sure to grab some Scrubbing Bubbles® All Purpose Cleaner with fantastik® to make sure that your cooler is clean and ready to go.

Need some windex to clean the windows before guest arrive.
Most of my condiments are used during the holidays. I cook ahead and freeze and as I need things, I take out of freezer, defrost and heat. I only keep tea in my fridge but I do keep a clean cooler full of ice for beverages.
After a large meal, the turkey, ham or whatever meat is cut up and put in snapware along with all other left overs. I buy the square ones and they stack nicely so if anyone wants food later, they can pull out the snapware and heat in the microwave.
There is no need for extra coolers for things at my house. Most of us are eaters and we have very little left. 🙂
Windex for sure to get all the dog-nose smudges off!
