I’m trying to be more intentional about squeezing in some “me time” even if it is just to sit and read a chapter of a book or call a friend. I don’t do that enough and I know it will help me be a better person all around 🙂

I will spend the extra time with my family who are staying past the holiday weekend.
Extra time…is there such a thing? Haha. Summers are always super busy around here. Not only do we have 4 kids, cat, dog, guinea pig, and rescue squirrels, but we also head a fundraiser each summer to raise cash for new backpacks and school supplies for the following school year. Sometime around late July we end up crazed; frantically buying the cheapest supplies we can find and preparing for our annual giveaway event. It’s great for the kids, and fun for us adults. That is how we’ll be spending our “free” time late summer (which is ok, I suppose since Florida summers tend to be either insanely hot or plagued with intermittent monsoons, lol).
