My tip is to make snack trays the day before so on game day you do not have to prepare anything.

Freeze your water bottles and use them in place of ice for drink coolers. By the time the day is over and all of your soda, beer, etc. is gone, you will need some ice cold water to replenish fluids anyway 🙂

Whatever I make it’s always something that you just pick it up and pop it in your mouth. From home made cookies to pigs in the blanket, it’s tasty and easy.

we put a variety of sausages on the BBQ girl, chicken wings and hamburgers. We keep it simple with buns, Mayo, mustard and ketchup. Chips, dip and cold drinks:)
I use a pressure cooker to precook my ribs then finish them on the grill. They cook quicker and still taste great.
We enjoy grilling at home!
Make sure your food is eye appealing as well as tasty. People eat with their eyes along with the other senses.

Aside from arriving early when tailgating I always have all my food prepped in aluminum so all thats left to do is throw it on the grill!

Not everyone can tailgate with a grill. An easy work around is to wrap bricks in foil, heat them in your oven, and place in the bottom of a cooler. Cook/grill at home and take any hot items in you cooler filled with hot bricks to keep everything warm. This is also great at parks and the beach!

If you’re going to last, hydration is the name of the game. Frozen bottles of water will kill two birds with one stone. They’ll help keep things in the cooler cold and you’ll have ice-cold water to drink when they start to melt.

Make your onion dip with one cup sour cream, one cup miracle whip and a package of Lipton Onion Soup Mix. Even my husband who hates Miracle Whip loves the onion dip made this way! Go Pats!

Hotdogs and burgers
Make clean-up easy by using paper plates, forks, cups, etc. Have wet wipes, garbage bags, and plastic bags/containers to store leftover food on ice. Bring rain gear and first aid for “just in case.”
Line the cooler with a trash bag before filling then after the game lift up the bag poke a couple holes to drain the water and your cooler stays clean.

Normally I’m very eco-conscious, but on Game Day, we try to make clean up a cinch with (compostible) paper plates to hold our favorite Tailgating foods!
