In case you haven’t checked your calendar, you might want to keep in mind that Easter is only about 2 weeks away. Now is a good time to start putting together your menu and working on that shopping list!
I have a few items that are a given on my menu each year. I always serve a ham, deviled eggs, a potato dish, rolls, a couple of veggies and it wouldn’t be Easter at my house without my Bacon Mac & Peas!
Ever since I was a little girl, I have loved the combination of macaroni & cheese with peas. I don’t care if it’s baked mac & cheese or the boxed version…if mac & cheese is on my plate, there better be some peas as well!
So now when I make my favorite mac & cheese I just go ahead and add a can of tasty Le Sueur Peas! With a little crumbled bacon you have a delicious main entree or a tasty side dish that you can pair with any meal. It’s such a hit at my house, it’s usually a requested addition to my holiday menus as well.
Le Sueur Peas are a Southern tradition and must have at my house. Le Sueur Peas are sweet and petite and their smaller size means they stay firm when cooked…making them my choice for this recipe and so many others. After all, no one wants a mushy pea on their plate!
Now is the perfect time to stock up on Le Sueur Peas with the sale in our new Advantage Buy Flyer. All varieties of Le Sueur Peas are on sale 10/$10 through 3/30 at Publix.
Head into Publix to stock up on all your favorite varieties of Le Sueur Peas. Get the cans for just a buck and serve these mighty fine peas tonight.
