Ever get bored of eating the same things over and over? My guys are not shy about letting me know when I might be repeating foods too many times. I really can’t blame them…I like variety in my meals as well.
Shake up your dinnertime routine with a tasty option that will have your family asking for seconds. My Pork Cheese Steak Egg Rolls are a fun and easy way to bring something new to the dinner table. Served with some steamed rice and and veggies, you’ll have a meal everyone will love. It’s a great change of pace from the ordinary and really is quite easy to make!
The recipe starts with a package of Smithfield® Marinated Fresh Pork. I use the Steakhouse Mushroom Marinated Fresh Pork Loin Filet in my recipe as most of the work is already done for me. I don’t have to bother with a bunch of seasonings or marinades to get big flavor. Plus, the recipe only requires a few ingredients making this an easy AND economical meal.
Since the pork is already marinated, dinner is done in a flash. I simply chop up the meat and veggies then toss them in a pan to cook for about 8 – 10 minutes. The mixture is then wrapped and fried for a meal that’s ready in under 30 minutes!
Now these egg rolls may appear difficult to make but I promise, they are crazy simple. If you can wrap a burrito, you can make these egg rolls. The point is to shake up your dinner routine…so don’t be intimidated!
If a fried dish doesn’t appeal…no problem! Brush the rolled egg rolls with a little olive oil and bake instead. They won’t get quite as crispy but they are still very tasty. AND…if you want to skip the egg roll all together just put the filling in a hoagie and eat it as a regular Pork Cheese Steak. This recipe is very versatile and oh, so delicious!
As you’d imagine, these are also a fabulous game day appetizer as well.
