My slow cooker gets a workout this time of year. I have about a million things on my to-do list so an easy meal is always a good thing in my book. What’s even better is when the meal is super easy but still packed with amazing flavor. With this recipe for Slow Cooker Gumbo you get a meal that’s simple to prepare but is still BIG on flavor. Even better, with the sales at Publix, it’s super easy on the wallet too!
You’ll find Jambalaya Girl Gumbo and Kiolbassa Sausage both on sale this week at Publix. That makes it the perfect time to add my recipe to your menu!
I choose Jambalaya Girl Gumbo as it’s the ultimate timesaver. No need to spend an hour or more at the stove making a roux, that rich dark roux is already done and ready to go in the mix! It’s the quick and easy way to serve up the flavor that my guys LOVE!
And for all you who might be worried about the spice level…this mix is kid friendly. Even my kiddo who hates anything spicy loves this meal. That’s because Jambalaya Girl mixes have more ingredients for a rich flavor and don’t taste as salty or as spicy as other box mixes. There is a delicate kick of heat, however it won’t burn your mouth. So if you like it hot (like me) you can always kick it up with a little hot sauce at the table!
Jambalaya Girl Gumbo 4 oz, 2/$5 (reg $3.79)
Paired with the big bold taste of Kiolbassa Sausage, my Gumbo recipe is sure to please everyone.
Kiolbassa Smoked Sausage is a great way to add another layer of amazing taste. That’s because each package of Kiolbassa Sausage is made with the finest cuts of meats and the freshest spices. They slow-craft our meats in small batches, then it’s naturally smoked over Texas hardwoods. Never hurried, never compromised. With no MSG, fillers or cereals. Just real, authentic meats crafted the old-fashioned Texas way. Bold. Hearty. And so satisfying.
Kiolbassa Smoked Sausage or Organic Beef Sausage, 11.4 or 13 oz, BOGO $6.19 – $9.79
Take advantage of the sales and pick up a couple of additional ingredients and whip up a meal that tastes amazing.
