I have some fantastic news for all my fellow tea fanatics! All of the delicious TAZO tea bags and latte concentrates are on sale as part of the new Extra Savings Flyer. You can grab all your faves for just $2.99. BUT…the deal is even better because there is also a coupon that you can add in to bring the price down to just $1.99.
That is a the kind of deal that makes me do a little happy dance! I like to keep both the tea bags and the concentrate on hand so I can pick and choose based on my mood. I will likely pick up plenty of the concentrate, it’s the quickest way for me to get that taste that I love with almost no effort.

A box of TAZO concentrate with a little milk tastes absolutely amazing . Drink it hot or cold, add whipped cream, toppings—the options are endless. One box of tea is the start to something delicious. Did you know that you can use it to create some amazing desserts too?!
One of my favorite thing is a Chai Poached Pear. It’s a super simple way to enjoy what is usually a pretty boring piece of fruit. Simply poach pears in TAZO concentrate with a little water. Eat as is or serve with mascarpone and caramel…YUM! And if you want something extra special, use those chai poached pears to make a fantastic dessert—my Chai Poached Pear Tart!
It’s easy enough to make as a weeknight dessert! Give it a try and let me know what you think! Head to Publix and take advantage of the sale on TAZO products through 12/4.
- 4 Bosc Pears, peeled and cored
- 32oz carton of TAZO Chai Latte Concentrate
- 1 cup water
- 2 sheets of puff pastry, thawed
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- caramel sauce, for serving
- Add the water and TAZO concentrate to a large pot and bring to a boil.
- Add the pears and simmer for 15 minutes, until tender.
- Cool and cut into 1/2″ slices.
- Preheat oven to 375º F.
- Unfold the puff pastry and roll out on a floured surface. You can leave as a rectangle or cut into a circle. Use a knife to gently score a border 1 inch from the edge of the pastry to create a lip. Repeat with the 2nd puff pastry sheet. Place both on a parchment lined sheet pan, at least 1″ apart.
- Mix the cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and egg until smooth and creamy.
- Spread a thin layer of the custard mixture over the center of the each pastry staying about 1″ from the score line (the weight of the pears will cause the custard to spread out to the score line – note: you may not need all of the custard).
- Arrange the sliced pears over the custard only up to the score line and bake for 30 – 35 minutes, until the tart crust is golden brown.
- Drizzle with caramel sauce
- Slice and serve.
