Thanksgiving is just a few days away. While you may have your main meal planned out, what about snacks before and after the big dinner?
My family will be hungry and ready to eat early. Most everyone eats a light breakfast so they’ll have plenty of room for all that tasty food. BUT, I have learned if I want my guys to leave me alone while I cook, I have to have some snack options available for them to eat before I serve the holiday meal.
Since I spend so much time in the kitchen on Thanksgiving day, I certainly don’t want to add more to my to-do list. So, I serve up tasty options that I can make ahead, before the big day. I go for quick and easy recipes like my Bacon Dill Dip. This dip is actually better a day after it’s made. And since it only takes about 5 minute to prepare, it’s a winner in my book.
I just whip up a batch the day before and then pull out while I am cooking. I put it out with a couple of bags of Cheez-It Snap’d and they are good for a while. Those cheesy, thin & crispy Snap’d snacks are the perfect vessel for my dip.
Luckily we have a sale happening right now at Publix. You can get your favorite varieties while they are on sale 2/$6. Sale valid through 12/9 at Publix.
Grab a few ingredients and whip up a batch at your holiday gathering. Just a tip…get several bags of Snap’d. You’ll find that people will gobble them up with AND without the dip—I promise, they’ll go fast!

Quick question – did you use dried dill or fresh dill? This looks great and so easy!
I used dried in the recipe but garnished with a little fresh…I love the fresh stuff 😉
