I would usually be preparing for several cookie swaps. But this year will be a bit different. While I might not be able to meet up with my friends to exchange goodies, I’ll still be making lots of treats to pass out and share.
This year I am going to be filling tins and boxes with goodies and delivering them to my family, friends and neighbors. My plan is to make up a bunch of packages, pile them in the car and then drop them on everyone’s porch.
With the amount of goodies that I’ll need to make, I gotta stick with recipes that are quick and easy. This recipe for Ghee Fudge is one of the easiest recipes that you can make and yields the most amazing fudge EVER!
You only need 4 ingredients (ok 5 if you add nuts) and about 5 minutes to prep a big batch of fudge. I plan on tripling or quadrupling the recipe next week so I’ll have plenty to share. Of course, I just had to make a batch to “test”…ok that’s my way of saying that I just wanted some for myself–tee hee!
- 1/4 cup melted Organic Valley Ghee
- 1 (14 ounce) can of sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1 cup butterscotch chips
- In a sauce pan, over low heat, combine 1 (14 ounce) can of sweetened condensed milk and the melted Organic Valley Ghee. Mix well together.
- Next, add 2 cups chocolate chips and 1 cup butterscotch chips to the condensed milk and ghee mixture. Stir everything together until both types of chips are melted.
- Pour into a well-greased 8×8 or 9×9 glass baking dish.
- Refrigerate until the fudge mixture cools and hardens.

If you aren’t using ghee, you are missing out on pure flavor! Ghee is clarified butter, which is a fancy way of saying it’s pure butterfat.
Organic Valley Ghee starts off as organic, pasture-raised butter with 80% to 84% butterfat. Then it’s slowly simmered it to coax out all the excess water. What’s left behind is all the nutrients and 100% butterfat. That’s taste baby and it’s perfect for lots of tasty meals and recipes…like the fudge that you just gotta try!
Use it just like you would use any oil or butter in any dish. It works great for sauteing, roasting or baking.
Look for Organic Valley Ghee in the dairy department at Publix with the rest of the butter. Take advantage of the sale through 11/27. Be sure to grab plenty for all your holiday meals and recipes.
