The recipe below will serve 4, but you can easily double or triple it to feed more hungry folks. Grab everything you need at Publix and then plan a day of holiday fun NOT a day spent stuck in the kitchen.
Tuscan Herb Pork With Mushroom Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 Hatfield Tuscan Herb Pork Tenderloin
- 4 tbsp butter - divided
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 8 oz mushrooms - sliced
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp fresh thyme
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tbsp heavy cream
Instructions
- Cook the Hatfield Pork according to package instructions.
- While the pork cooks, prepare the sauce by adding 2 tablespoons of butter and 1 tablespoon of olive oil to a large skillet.
- Melt the butter then add the mushrooms and cook for 4 - 6 minutes, until softened and beginning to brown.
- Add the garlic and cook and additional 1 - 2 minutes, until fragrant. Remove to a bowl and set aside.
- In the same pan, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and then add the flour. Cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Add the beef broth and stir. The sauce should thicken pretty quickly.
- Add the salt, pepper, thyme and the cooked mushrooms to the sauce.
- Stir in the heavy cream and remove from heat.
- Slice the pork and serve with the prepared mushroom sauce.
