Ingredients: 1 pkg Hawaiian sweet rolls; 2/3 cup pizza sauce; 6 slices mozzarella cheese; 12 slices Smithfield Prime Fresh Delicatessen Pepperoni; 12 slices Smithfield Prime Fresh Delicatessen Hard Salami; 1 tbsp butter (- melted); 2 tsp garlic bread seasoning (or Italian seasoning)

Everyone loves pizza night … but standard pizzas aren’t always the best option. What I serve at my house will often depend on my time, budget and of course what I’m craving.

Takeout pizza is probably the easiest option but it can be super expensive. The alternative is to make my own pizza. But, pizza preparation can be time-consuming and involve a fair amount of effort, especially when feeding my guys and all their friends. So when I need a convenient, crowd-pleasing alternative to pizza night, pizza sliders are what I make.

Pizza sliders are really just miniature versions of their pizza counterparts. You get the same flavors of a pizza in a more manageable handheld that’s incredibly simple to assemble so there is minimal preparation time and very little effort… my kind of meal!

And since they are simple to make, they are ideal for various occasions, from casual family gatherings, game day get togethers, even festive holiday celebrations.

All you need is a package of rolls, some pizza sauce, sliced cheese and a couple of packages of Smithfield Prime Fresh Delicatessen Meats and you’re in business. All is takes is about 5 minutes of prep and 15 minutes in the oven and dinner is served. Now that’s my kind of pizza night!

Ingredients

1 pkg Hawaiian sweet rolls
2/3 cup pizza sauce
6 slices mozzarella cheese
12 slices Smithfield Prime Fresh Delicatessen Pepperoni
12 slices Smithfield Prime Fresh Delicatessen Hard Salami
1 tbsp butter - melted
2 tsp garlic bread seasoning (or Italian seasoning)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375º F.
Cut the Hawaiian sweet rolls in half horizontally and place on a sheet pan.
Spread pizza sauce on the bottom halves of the rolls.
Top with mozzarella cheese, pepperoni and salami.
Place the top halves of the rolls on the sandwiches.
Brush the melted butter over the top of the rolls and sprinkle with the garlic bread seasoning. Cover with foil and bake for 10 - 15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve and enjoy!
