While the holidays may be over, there’s no end to the constant snacking that happens.
With the kids home from school and festive gatherings galore, keeping a steady stream of snacks can feel like a constant battle. But I have a few tasty recipes that I know will keep everyone happy. At the top of the list are delicious homemade Yogurt Covered Pretzels!
Made with creamy Stonyfield yogurt and a sprinkle of holiday cheer, these bite-sized delights are the perfect answer to any craving. They’re the ultimate sweet and salty treat that’s easy to make and even easier to devour. All you need is three ingredients and a few minutes of prep and you are on your way to a snackable treat that’s sure to please.
The best part about these pretzels is that they’re super easy to customize. You can use any type of Stonyfield Yogurt you prefer… plain, vanilla or strawberry—whatever you love. And if you want to get really fancy, you can even drizzle them with melted chocolate or sprinkle them with your favorite toppings. With the holiday season in full swing, I like to dress them up with festive sprinkles. It’s such a tasty way to add a little holiday spirit to snack time.
Grab a few ingredients and gather your family. Bring everyone together around the kitchen counter for a little dipping, decorating and and pretzel-dunking fun!
Yogurt Covered Pretzels
Ingredients
- 1 bag bag miniature pretzels
- 2 cups Stonyfield Organic Whole Milk Vanilla Yogurt
- 5 cups confectioners’ sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 250°.
- In a large mixing bowl, mix the confectioner's sugar into the yogurt one cup at a time with a hand blender.
- Using tongs, chopsticks or tweezers, dip the pretzels, one at a time into the frosting and place them on the wire cooling rack.
- Place a baking sheet under the wire rack to catch the excess frosting that will drip from the pretzels.
- Once all pretzels are coated, Top with sprinkles if desired. Then, turn your oven off and place the wire rack and baking sheet in, leaving the oven door slightly open. The excess heat will help the frosting dry without leaving the pretzels soggy.
- Allow frosting to harden for 3-4 hours, remove from oven, and store yogurt covered pretzels in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
This holiday season, ditch the store-bought snacks and whip up a batch of homemade yogurt covered pretzels instead. They’re the perfect festive treat that everyone will love. Get everything you need at your local Publix.
