Go to Walmart and compare prices on the same items. They even charge more in Boca Raton Delray Beach and Boynton Beach than stores further north.

    This week I bought three bogos.
    
    Plugrá Extra Creamy Butter $4.59, Hebrew National Kosher Beef Franks $7.79, Nabisco family size Oreos $5.99. At Walmart, the prices are $3.12, $4.92, and $4.28
    With the bogo I saved $3.13 at Publix. Without the bogo, I would have saved an even $6 at Walmart. That’s on THREE items!
    
    The reality is I would save a lot more about the BOGO because I would never buy the Oreos or the hot dogs.

      May I ask how you came up with your figures?
      This is how I perceived it……
      Publix:
      Butter $4.59
      Franks $7.79
      Oreos $5.99
      Total of $18.37 but…..you got 2 of everything.
      If you divide it in half, it is $9.185
      
      Walmart:
      Butter $3.12
      Franks $4.92
      Oreos $4.28
      Total of $12.32 but…….you only got 1 of each item.
      
      So if you subtract your Walmart price for 1 item of each @ $12.32 from your Publix price for 1 of each……..$9.185……………
      Didn’t you actually pay more at Walmart?
      
      Per your statement referencing saving $6.00, yes you did but…………you only received 1/2 of the items at Walmart (1 vs 2 @ Publix).
      
      Am I seeing something wrong? I think the better deal was at Publix 🙂

    I think is is just you Patrick. All she did was comment that the prices aren’t necessarily the same at all Walmart stores depending on where you live. Nothing condescending about it.

  Check out Walmart’s ground beef and steak prices versus Publix—Walmart is no price deal. Plus then you also have to actually eat the Walmart meat.
