We all have those nights where the thought of cooking a complicated meal makes us want to order takeout (again). But, there’s a simple kitchen staple that can kick up your cooking game without requiring tons of effort or hours in the kitchen. I’m talking about Hellmann’s Mayonnaise.
While Hellmann’s may be a go-to for your sandwiches, it’s also my secret weapon for making easy, delicious meals and sides that just can’t be beat!
Take those Spicy Smashed Potatoes you see above. This dish is made with just three ingredients: potatoes, sriracha and Hellmann’s Mayonnaise. Prep is simple and you end up with a delicious side that pairs perfectly with chicken, pork, beef or whatever you love. So forget the boring mashed potatoes and try a batch of Spicy Smashed Potatoes instead.
But that tasty goodness doesn’t stop with potatoes. Need a quick and easy way to bread chicken or fish? Hellmann’s acts as the perfect binder, creating a crispy, flavorful crust that’s way better than just using eggs. Want to make a creamy dip for veggies or chips? You gotta go with Hellmann’s. It adds that richness and tang that makes dips so irresistible. Heck, you can even use it in baking to make cakes and muffins extra moist. The uses are endless!
So, next time you’re staring into the fridge wondering what to make for dinner, don’t underestimate the power of that bottle/jar of Hellmann’s in your door. Hellmann’s is your shortcut to delicious, easy meals that will make you feel like a kitchen pro… even if you’re just trying to avoid another night of takeout. It’s the perfect ingredient that makes life a little easier and a lot tastier.

Spicy Smashed Potatoes
Ingredients
- 1 lb new potatoes
- 1/3 cup Hellmann’s® Mayonnaise
- 3 tbsp sriracha sauce (more or less to taste)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°. Place potatoes in a 3-quart saucepan and cover with cold water. Add salt to taste and bring to a boil over high heat. Boil for about 7 minutes or until fork-tender. Drain thoroughly and place in a large bowl.
- In a small bowl, mix the Hellmann’s® Mayonnaise Dressing with the sriracha until combined.
- Toss 2/3 of the spicy mayonnaise mixture with the hot drained potatoes until evenly coated. Place potatoes on a lined sheet pan and smash each potato to ½-inch thickness with a flat-bottomed glass, using a small offset metal spatula to help release from glass, if needed. Spread smashed potatoes in a single layer and brush with remaining mayonnaise mixture.
- Bake 30 minutes, flipping halfway through bake time. Sprinkle with salt to taste and serve.
