As you guys might have read in my other posts we are living in between states right now. Since our house is not ready, I am stuck with a less than ideal kitchen at the moment. I only have a small 2 burner cooktop and a convection microwave. Rather than spend a bunch of money eating out every night I am making this tiny kitchen work!
I can still whip up some fantastic meals including the the one I am sharing with you guys today – Sweet & Sour Meatballs.
This recipe is very easy to put together and is packed with flavor. I can whip up a batch of homemade meatballs in about 5 minute or so…but you guys can also use the Armour Meatballs that are BOGO this week at Publix and skip one step. Since this recipe calls for very few ingredients this is a very budget friendly option.
Give it a try and let me know what you think!

I made this tonight. I used ground chicken instead of beef. My husband really liked it. I thought the meatballs tasted a little funny – I think I don’t like the Italian seasoning. My 7 year old wouldn’t touch it! Sauce was yummy…definitely more sweet than sour. Will make again without the seasoning. Oh and I didn’t add the salt.

this was delicious! I made a vegetarian friendly meatball with the Morningstar crumbles and they were FREAKING FABULOUS! I followed everything else the same and just used grated parmesan/romano cheese. I loved that sauce and was licking my plate when i was done 🙂 Good recipe Michelle!

Made this again. Still used chicken. Didn’t put in the Italian seasoning but added pineapple and spinach to the meatballs. Didn’t add the salt. AWESOME!!!
You know Lori, I pulled the italian seasoning (that was my basic meatball recipe) I typically add grated ginger instead of the seasoning when I do these. Now, I have used my frozen meatballs that do have the italian seasoning and it works fine…but I do prefer them with the ginger with this recipe. I think it’s a better compliment to the sauce.
Glad you guys like this one. It’s one of my go to meals since it is so easy to whip up!
