So are you guy enjoying all the football frenzy? At my house we have to plan our schedule around the various games. It used to be just the games on TV but now that Jeb is playing football, we have to add that into the mix too.

Over the years I have learned a little bit about the game so I actually enjoy it much more than I used to. I’ll admit that I might have jumped up a couple of times (or ten) in excitement watching the boys pull off some really great plays. I honestly didn’t realize how exciting it could be to watch kids this age play! Jeb’s team just wrapped up a perfect season…so we are about to head into playoffs as the only undefeated team. It should be fun!

Football also is a great excuse to gather with friends. There’s nothing better than getting together with a bunch of your buddies to celebrate, commiserate and just discuss the events of the game as they happen. Of course when you gather friends you have to have some snacks. There could be a whole book devoted to football and tailgating snacks. At my house, the mighty dip reigns supreme! So I make sure that there’s plenty on hand to make everyone happy –that means I bring out Sabra Hummus and Sabra Guacamole!

Sabra Hummus is in my top 10 favorite foods…yep–it’s that good! I personally eat it on just about anything. I love that they have come out with so many different varieties. There really are options for just about anyone. My favorite is definitely the Supremely Spicy! It tends to be the first to go at all my parties so I usually grab a couple of tubs as a backup.

Now, every once in a while I will get a few funny looks from some of the guys but all it takes is one taste and they are hooked. It amazes me that there are still people out there who haven’t tried hummus. It’s not your typically cheese or sour cream dip but it has a taste that you just can’t resist. I think what I like best is that it goes with everything. You can serve it with corn chips, potato chips, pita chips, pretzels, crackers or any kind of veggie that you want and it’s fantastic! It may be the perfect tailgating snack!

Don’t forget about the guacamole..that’s a must at my house as well (another one of my top 10 foods–tee hee!) You’ll be happy to know that Publix now carries the Sabra Guacamole Singles! I grab the tubs for my parties but the singles are just what I need for every day usage. I am the only one who eats it throughout the week so a tub is just too much on a normal week.
