The Big Game means football, friends and adding the delicious taste of RAGÚ® to your traditional Game Day menu. This recipe for Mozzarella Stuffed Meatballs and Spicy RAGÚ® Dipping Sauce is a must have for my Super Bowl spread!
You all know that my guys are meatball fanatics. When you add that spicy RAGÚ® dipping sauce to the mix, it’s a game changer! This recipe is quick and easy which makes it great for parties. But I’ll warn you ahead of time…consider making a double (or triple) batch as they are sure to be quite popular with your guests!
Include RAGÚ recipes in your starting lineup and you’ll score big before the teams even take the field. Don’t miss out on the Publix BOGO sale that runs through 1/27 (1/26 for some) and you can stock up in time for the big game!
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 cup Italian seasoned dry bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 ounces mozzarella cheese, cut into 12 (1/2-in.) cubes
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- Dipping Sauce:
- 2 cups Ragu® Sauce
- 1 tsp. finely chopped habanero chili pepper
- 2 tsp. dried oregano leaves
- Combine ground beef, bread crumbs and egg in medium bowl; shape into 12 meatballs. Press 1 cheese cube into each meatball, enclosing completely.
- Heat olive oil in large skillet over medium-high heat and cook meatballs, turning occasionally, until thoroughly cooked and golden brown, about 6 minutes.
- For DIPPING SAUCE, bring all ingredients to a boil in medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Serve with meatballs.
