As I am sure you all have noticed…this is a great week to shop at Publix! We have some pretty phenomenal deals just in time to get us ready for our big Easter gatherings.
I don’t really have any specific traditional recipes that I make for Easter dinner. I will make a ham of course but I like to get creative and try new and exciting side dishes that I find in magazines or see on the various cooking shows that I watch.
I do have a tradition for Easter morning that I have been doing for many years now…I prepare a big breakfast casserole. That way everyone gets a hearty breakfast so they can wait patiently while the big meal is being prepared.
Since I am going to be in the kitchen a good chunk of the day, the casserole allows me to throw everything in one dish and bake it up. I can feed a big group with very little effort.
You can create some delicious recipes with the deals available right now at Publix. We have a great sale on Jimmy Dean sausage in our current ad that runs through 3/26. Grab a couple of rolls of sausage and you can whip up a delicious breakfast casserole for your family!
