I get my home ready for summer fun by getting my screen porch and deck ready to use. We live outside in the summer months.

I live in South Florida so it is summer all year long! So i just do my regular cleaning. I love Windex! I have 2 glass tables to keep clean.
I make sure I have citronella candles, bug spray and sunscreen!
I sweep the front porch.
I like to stock up on more frozen treats like sherbet and ice cream bars.

In Florida we hibernate in the summer. So having clean windows to look out are a priority.

Make sure my grass is super green
I start by researching different places to visit throughout the summer. I like to take my granddaughter on new adventures every year.
We clean the patio chairs and tables.
Spring cleaning, which includes switching out the seasonal linens and doing the same with our clothes, putting away things we won’t be needing for the next 5-6 months or so until it gets cold again.
I get my back patio floor cleaned and the BBQ grill ready for cookouts and eating out on the patio.
We spend a day cleaning and inspecting all of the pool toys so we don’t have to worry about safety.

Window cleaning is a good start.
make sure put home is stocked with all the best things to protect ourselves from the sun and weather including sunscreen, sunglasses, bug spray as well as citronella candles to light outside to protect ourselves from nasty bug bites, a first aid kit to protect the kids from any mishaps that may happen while outdoors, as well as water bottles always readily available to keep us all hydrated.
I clean /scrub and inspect the grill and all of the grill tools. I also pick up charcoal I want to be ready to grill out.
We clean the house from top to bottom so there is less to do over the summer and we can enjoy our home. We also clean out and straighten the garage so it makes it easier for us to find the things we need to enjoy our summer activities.
I do a good cleaning of the Patio, and bring out more lawn chairs.
I get our home ready for summer fun by cleaning the windows and doors with Windex. We also pressure wash the screen room, outside furniture and get the rafts and floats out ready for the swimming pool.

My Spring/Summer get ready activity includes cleaning all the windows. I am not a big fan of this chore but always use Windex and it goes by quick(er)

Here in Southwest Florida it’s summer all year long, but I just try to stay on my daily cleaning schedule. I use the Pledge Multi Surface throughout my whole home.

Living in Florida, we are blessed to have summer like weather everyday, and ohhh that SUN ! I like to have fun everyday, and in this State I am able to do that. I am always ready for Summer !
Spring cleaning. Shampooing carpets. Airing out the house Stocking up on fresh fruit veggies And buying meats for grilling.
I wash all of the beach towels and swimsuits again so they are ready to grab for time at the pool and splash pad! I make sure I have my little bag packed with sunscreen, bandaids, etc. so we are ready to go at any moment 🙂
Bug spray and plenty of water bottles!
Pressure wash the pool deck & patio furniture. Gotta get rid of all those spiders!
I make sure I have charcoal for the grill and I put extra emphasis on cleaning up my backyard.
I always purchase new sunscreen for summer. I go through any outdoor decor and summer toys and sort and decide what to donate if we don’t use it any more.
Some of the ways I get my home ready is to open the windows and start at the top and work my way down doing some spring cleaning and change filters in the ac.

We plan on using our back porch for more entertaining this year. We are sprucing up the back yard and a good cleaning of the porch including the screens will have us ready to party.

To great ready for summer fun cookouts, I prepare my recipes to add new summer treats and salads.
I make sure I have lots of cool drinks and fresh, cold fruit on hand. I also brighten up the decor (like throw pillows).
well, before the fun starts, I clean the patio, recoat the patio furniture with spray paint, weed, plants new flowers in the beds, etc.
I have a checklist:clean pool, maintenance on pool grill, etc. . It helps to have a list so you can check off each item.
