- What are some of your tips to an easier weekly schedule?
My family helps out with keeping the clutter picked up. Well sometimes anyway!! My motto is everything has and place and I want everything in its place.
Clean the Clean, I spend 10 -15 minutes straightening and making beds before I leave for work. I spend 10-15 minutes cleaning up every evening before bed. 1 load of laundry every day as needed.
I do a load of laundry each day. I clean baths and kitchen daily. Everyone tidies their own room each morning-making the beds, picking up their stuff and putting it away. I find if I do a little each day it isn’t overwhelming and house is always ‘company ready’.
Organize, get routine first
make bed first thing in the morning…motivation begins there…also, wet work on alternating days
I concentrate on 1 room at a time. I do try to keep clutter down throughout the house daily. When I clean, I will do bathrooms and kitchen 1X weekly. As for the other rooms, I will do one room at a time once a week. By the time 1 month has gone by, it is time to do it again. LOL…it eventually gets done!
I try to clean a little bit each day, so that noting builds up
Do little throughout the day
Menu plan the weekend before, make sure all of the cleaning is done on the weekend so that we can enjoy a nice house during the week, and do a quick 10-15 min run through the house every night before bed to straighten things back up again.
Clean and pick up as you go.
Meal planning and cleaning up the smaller messes before they get out of control.
Prep what I can in down time so that the busy part of the day is a little easier
Cleaning on the go while doing other tasks.
Clean a little bit everyday and make to do lists before bed. Clears your mind and you’ll know what to tackle the next day.
For me..the best tip I can give is to keep up daily with chores..don’t let anything pile up..once clean it’s easy to keep up..IMO..and, get peeps to help..everyday.
Pick up after yourself! Before bed, take 10 minutes and put things away.
Wish i had good tips in this area. The struggle is real! 🙂
I plan ahead. I try to have everyone’s clothes lined up in the closet, and meal prep ahead of time. Knowing you have dinner ready to cook is a nice feeling.
Start the day with a clean house–it helps keep me motivated And first thing before the kids are up, start a load of laundry, and unload the dishwasher. Makes maintaining organization easier.
Get up just a few minutes early, start a load of laundry, clean and put away items as I go about my day from room to room. Clean any messes immediately.
I always do laundry as soon as I wake up.
Just follow routine first, put everything on the board to organize everything.
I make my bed every day…this sets the tone for staying neat and organized!
Actually stick with the schedule – if you deviate from it, it only makes things stack up on you.
I try to keep up with chores everyday so they don’t keep piling up and then it’s just too overwhelming
A meal plan. I try to write out the schedule so I know exactly what is going on.
I don’t have any.
I cook on the weekends and plan all the meals. Also, when possible I prepack lunches for kids and just add fresh fruit and veggie.
Lists, lists and more lists.
I go through the house and gather everything out of place and put it in one spot. Then I take items to the proper rooms as I go to them.
I have to make a lot of lists
I try to have things planned out for the next day. If we’re heading out in the morning I have everyone’s clothes picked out the night before. I also have anything I’ll need with me in one place so I can just grab and go and not forget something in the rush that morning.
I could use some tips myself the only thing I really do is make a list of anything that needs to be done during the week and keep it in a convenient place so I can take a look at it each day and to it if needed.
I do anything POSSIBLE to avoid having to do a deep clean.. no one has time for that! At least – not in this house. I recommend creating a schedule and sticking with it… it doesn’t have to be a HUGE to do list – I prefer to keep it simple. For example: every week day morning, I throw in a load of laundry – and I fold it/put away right before I am ready to settle down for the night. I combine loads – no shame here. Then, I make the beds. I also carry a basket around the house every night before bed and gather everything that is out of place. Then I deposit these items in the correct room for their owners (my kids) to put away. While carrying the basket – I make sure to have an empty bag and empty all of the trash cans in to it. And every night, after the kids brush their teeth, I wipe down their bathroom counter, give the toilet a quick cleaning, and put out new hand towels. And soon enough – I will be passing these jobs on to my boys.. one day… maybe… ha, ha!

Everybody in the house has daily chores. It makes it less stressful for mom.
