I have two young boys so as you can imagine, getting them to eat their veggies can be a challenge. I love all veggies and like to serve up a variety just to keep things interesting. When I have veggies such as kale, Brussels sprouts and okra on the menu, my boys will immediately turn up their noses.
Of course when I put a plate full of Branch Gourmet Extra Sweet Corn on the table, there are no words spoken. That’s because my guys are too busy stuffing their faces with the corn that they absolutely LOVE! Who can blame them? This isn’t your standard sweet corn that you have to shuck at home, this is the sweetest of the sweet that is hand selected exclusively for Publix. I never have to guess if I am getting good corn as I can see those perfect ears just waiting to be turned into something amazing.
My guys don’t care how I serve it up. They are happiest if I boil it or grill it and add a little butter. I happen to like the corn in one of several salads that I change up based on my mood.
Next time you are looking for a tasty addition to your dinner table stop by the produce aisle and grab a pack (or two) of your favorite variety of Branch Gourmet Extra Sweet Corn.
You can pick up any of the three tasty varieties available at Publix and get a great price!
- Yellow – yellow kernels and offers an enjoyable sweet flavor. It can be boiled, grilled, roasted and even microwaved.
- White – white kernels with a gentle sweet flavor compared to yellow sweet corn. It is versatile and can be cooked in different ways such as boiled, grilled, roasted and microwaved.
- Bicolor – contains both white and yellow kernels. It is sweet and juicy and can be enjoyed boiled, grilled, roasted and microwaved.
Sweet Corn is Branch’s passion and has been their focus for over 60 years! Once you take a bite you’ll be able to tell. There is no shucking needed…simply open a package and it’s ready to go. Perfect for all your favorite recipes or served as a simple side dish boiled with a little butter.
