My guys are creatures of habit. I am not sure if they are set in their ways…or maybe it’s a touch of laziness? Either way, it’s usually up to me to shake things up and take them out of their comfort zone. Mealtime is a prime example…
I love to try different foods but my guys aren’t as open-minded. They would be happy eating the same things week after week. I get bored and want new flavors…plus, I just love to try new products! Since I am the one who does most of the shopping AND the cooking, they are somewhat at my mercy. Now before you start feeling sorry for them, I am the one who introduced them to most of their favorite foods! I always tease them that they can’t find a new favorite food if they never try anything new.
At this point my family knows that when they walk up to the dinner table, there is always the chance that I will throw them a curveball. I used to prepare them and tell them exactly what they were eating. I found that it was much better to let them eat first and enjoy the foods without any preconceived notions. Typically they will really enjoy the new foods and I get another addition to my meal rotation—EVERYONE is happy!
Naturally when I saw the new O, That’s Good Pizza in the frozen aisle at Publix, I knew that these had to go on my dinner table.
O, That’s Good! Pizzas are made using real ingredients like meats and cheeses, but with the added goodness of cauliflower baked right into the crust. Yep, you get the classic, cheesy pizza you love…now with a nutritious twist. One third of the crust is made with cauliflower*…but you can’t tell.
Now I have tried my hand at a cauliflower crust pizzas before but these put my attempts to shame. I thought the pizza was delicious and my guys loved it too. Plus it was so easy to prepare…a great option for a busy weeknight!
