Who says you have to go out to enjoy your favorite foods? I find that it’s easier and much less expensive to recreate my family’s favorite foods at home.
One of the restaurants that we frequent has a menu item that includes homemade BBQ chips served with a blue cheese dip. My guys order this appetizer every single time we go to that place. When I found the BBQ flavored Tyson Any’tizers Chicken Chips, I decided to surprise them with a game day appetizer this past weekend.
I guess I should have taken an “after” pic to help you see how much they loved my surprise. That full tray you see above was COMPLETELY wiped out in no time flat. There was not one single chicken chip or a smudge of dip left in the bowl. I honestly think someone licked the bowl–tee hee!
The best part…they got the taste that they love at a fraction of what the restaurant charges. There was at least double the amount of food and thanks to the deals at Publix, I maybe paid half of what I would have paid for that much food had we gone out.
