- 3 Brooklyn Burger’s Premium Blend Steakhouse Burgers (1 pound of meat), defrosted
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 2 tablespoons ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1/4 – 1/2 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
- 1 1/2 cups beef broth
- 24 oz diced tomatoes
- 16 oz canned chili beans
- Add the burgers to a large pot or dutch oven and brown. Break up with a spoon to crumble the meat as it cooks.
- Drain any excess fat.
- Add the onion and cook another 3 minutes, until translucent.
- Stir in the chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, pepper, sugar and cayenne pepper. Mix to fully coat the meat.
- Add the broth, tomatoes and chili beans and bring to a boil.
- Reduce the heat and simmer for 20 minute, stirring occasionally.
- Serve with shredded cheese, green onion, sour cream or your favorite toppings.
